Boston Anniversary Walk

ESCV is pleased to offer a one day bus trip to Boston, Saturday August 29! This trip is in conjunction with Walkn'Mass club's AVA 50th Anniversary walk on August 29. Doing a walk is encouraged but not mandatory.

Trip cost is $60 per seat, available to our members and their friends and family on a first come, first serve basis.

There will be three pick up locations:

- Wade Tours Terminal Schenectady, departs 6:30 AM

- Latham Farms, departs 7:00 AM

- Crossgates Commons, departs 7:30 AM

We will arrive in Boston around 10:30 AM and expect to leave around 4 PM.

Approximate return times to Albany area:

- Crossgates Commons, arrives 7:00 PM

- Latham Farms, arrives 7:30 PM

- Wade Tours Terminal Schenectady, arrives 8:00 PM

This should give everyone plenty of time to walk and eat, and some additional time to enjoy Boston on your own.

We expect the bus drop off point in Boston to be the walk start point:

ESCV Oktoberfest Picnic 2026 (10 Oct 2026)

Join ESCV for the annual Oktoberfest picnic and walk at Tawasentha Park, Saturday October 10, chaired by Sue Grey.

Hot dogs, Knockwurst and Bratwurst will again be served along with rolls, water and condiments. The cost remains $6 per person. Please bring your favorite dish to share with everyone!

In order to ensure a good selection of sides available for everyone, we ask that you let us know what type of dish you will be bringing. As always, sauerkraut is a favorite. If we are lacking in any group, we will contact people for needed contributions.

PARKING: Going north on N. Main to intersection of N. Main & Western Ave. take a right on Western Ave (going East) to 1st traffic light.

WALK REGISTRATION: 9:30-9:55 am

WALK: Starts promptly at 10:00 am

Our annual Pizza Party* will take place immediately after the group walk around 12:30 pm

RESERVATION is necessary for the Pizza Party.

Cost per person is $12.00 which includes hors d'oeuvres, pizza, wings, salad, beverage, & dessert.
